Hangzhou Railway Station

Description:

Hangzhou Railway Station is a railway station located in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. It is part of the Shanghai-Hangzhou railway. The station was built in 1907 as a stop in the direction of Jian-shu, but since it was far from the city, it was inconvenient for residents. In 1910, a new building was built in the city center, and the station was moved here. By the end of the XX century, it could no longer cope with the increased load, so the old building was demolished in 1997, and in December 1999 a new station was built and put into operation.

Currently, Hangzhou Railway Station is a huge modern building that houses two cash registers, five regular waiting rooms, one VIP lounge and seven platforms. High-speed trains connect Hangzhou with 30 major cities. There are about 105 trains in different directions.

To buy tickets, you do not need to go to the station, there are pre-cash offices in different parts of Hangzhou, in other cities in China and some countries. They can also be purchased through a hotel or travel agency that provides this service for an additional fee.
