Located in the Pingu area, 100km northeast of Beijing, Shilinxia is a major scenic spot in Huangsunyu Geological Park, named after the four steep and high peaks of Shilin in the gorge. The total length of attractions is 6 km, an area of 12 square km, different landscapes are more than 50 places, the most famous of them is a glass observation deck.

This creative structure of glass and titanium for its unusual shape is often called UFO Shilinxia. It is installed on the top of a cliff and protrudes 33 m above the abyss, 400 m deep.
