Shijing Mountain
Yunju Temple, Fangshan District, Beijing, China
Description:
Mount Shijin ("Crocodile Mountain") is famous for exotic rocky landscapes. The mountain was originally called “The Rhinoceros Who Looks at the Moon” because it has a giant rock similar to this animal. From a distance, the rock looks like a rhinoceros that has raised its head and looks up. Now the mountain is called "Crocodile".
By the way, the mountain is really a “rocky menagerie”, because here you can also see hawks, pandas, tigers, lions and other animals.
Climbing to the top of the mountain, you will see endless waters, islands, picturesque coves, as well as blooming cities.
This place is ideal for a one-day or two-day trip. On the mountain there are cable and hiking trails for travel.
