Description:
The alley of stone animals and statues of Minsk tombs stretches for 300 meters along the territory of the mausoleum complex of thirteen emperors of the Chinese Ming dynasty near the capital of China - Beijing. The alley begins at the Tablet Warehouse, built in 1453, and ends near one of the tombs.
At the beginning of the alley are two columns decorated with images of clouds. In the alley you can see sculptures of lions, who were able to determine the truth and lies according to legends, mythical creatures of cylins – Chinese unicorns, casting out evil spirits, sculptures of a camel, a horse, statues of military leaders, ministers and officials – only 12 stone sculptures. All the sculptures of the alley were created in the XV century in the relief style of stone carving, characteristic of the Ming era.
