Jingshan Park (Landscape Mountain)
Description:
Jingshan Park (or Landscape Mountain Park) in Beijing is an artificial hill about 45 meters high and more than 230 square meters. It is now a public park.
The park was originally an imperial garden built during the Ming Dynasty. The park consists of five hills and a Chinese-style palace is built on top of each hill. These gazebos are great for relaxation and a pleasant pastime with friends.
At the highest point of the mountain with a height of 43 meters in the center of the park is the gazebo Wanchunting, which is considered the center of historic Beijing. From the hill offers a beautiful view of many of the sights of the city.
Jingshan Park is especially popular with older people who enjoy dancing, singing and other cultural activities.
