Liuyin Park

No.8 Huangsi Main Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, China

Description:

Liuyin Park is especially revered by the people of Beijing. It is more like untouched village nature than a city park. Shady alleys, a lake overgrown with lilies, old willows above the water make the park a cozy picturesque corner in the middle of a huge metropolis. Liuyin Park was opened in 1984. It covers an area of 17.47 hectares. The park is designed so that its landscapes can be enjoyed at any time of the year. Thirty varieties of willows are planted on its territory. In the center of the park is a lake on which there is a huge island called Spring Island. Three bridges connect it to the coast. Liuyin Park is the quietest and most peaceful of all Beijing parks.
