Park of Modern Agricultural Science in Xiaotanshan

The modern agricultural science park in Xiaotanshan was built in 1998 and started operating in 2001 to showcase the achievements of Chinese agriculture. It is one of 36 such parks in China.

The park covers an area of 111.4 square kilometers and is divided into four zones in which various crops are grown. The territory is rich in fertile soils, it is crossed by 8 rivers.

In this park there are modern technological greenhouses in which rare species of orchids and cyclamen are grown. There are plantations on which giant pumpkins up to one meter in diameter are grown. Also here rice, potatoes, tomatoes, different types of fruits are cultivated.

On weekdays, the park is open to visitors, familiarization excursions are held.

There is a shop in the park where you can buy flowers, fruits and vegetables grown here.
