Beijing Botanical Garden of Medicinal Plants

No.151 Malianwa West Road, Haidian District, Beijing, China

Description:

The Beijing Botanical Garden of Medicinal Plants has the appearance of an ordinary garden with the only difference that all trees, shrubs and plants growing in it are medicinal and serve as a raw material base for the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Its area is only 160 acres, but in this small area you can see more than 600 species of medicinal plants. Initially, the garden served only scientific and medical purposes, but as the interest of the local population and tourists to Chinese medicinal plants increased, it became an important tourist attraction.
