Description:
The Linguan Monastery (Temple of Divine Light) is one of eight Buddhist monasteries built on the hillsides at the foot of the Western Mountains. The main attraction of the temple is the “Buddha Tooth” stupa, the analogue of which is located only in Sri Lanka.
The temple was built during the Tang Dynasty. There is a shrine - the tooth of the Buddha, in honor of which a memorial stupa with a height of 51 meters was installed. The octagonal stupa, installed on the base of white marble, consists of 13 layers. Inside the stupa on the first floor is a pagoda, which stores the tooth of the Buddha. On the other floors there are Buddhist scriptures.
The monastery can be visited from 5 am to 19:30. Tourists can see the temple by public transport to Badach Park.
