The Olympic Basketball Stadium in Beijing was commissioned before the start of the Olympic Games.
The stadium is a modern indoor sports facility in the form of a huge parallelepiped. During its construction, the most advanced technologies that meet all environmental safety requirements were used. The stadium building has four above ground floors and three underground. It is located on a land plot of 63,000 square meters. The stadium stands hold 18,000 spectators.
During the Beijing Olympics, the stadium hosted qualifying and final basketball games.
