Designer clothing area 751 is located on the territory of the former power plant No. 751. Due to the Chinese government’s efforts to improve the environmental situation in Beijing, factory 751 was closed in 2003. In 2006, the Fashion Association of China decided to create an area of designer clothes on the basis of abandoned factory premises with many design studios, exhibition spaces and halls for displaying fashion clothes. Many Chinese designers have moved their studios to 751. Now there are twice a year week of high fashion.
