The Beijing University of Technology Stadium was built in 2007 in preparation for the Summer Olympics. This huge modern indoor sports facility, designed for seven and a half thousand seats, has an area of 24,383 square meters.
During the 2008 Olympics, this stadium hosted badminton and rhythmic gymnastics competitions. Now the stadium serves as a training center for Chinese badminton teams, as well as a sports and leisure center for university students and local residents.
