Suzhou River
Inside the District, Putuo District, Shanghai, China
Description:
The Suzhou River is Shanghai’s main river flowing through its center.
This river has a length of 125 kilometers, 78 of which fall on the territory of the city and its surroundings.
The flow of the river is not very fast, on the pier you can take a river cruise by boat or ride a boat, looking at the city landscapes and beautifully decorated embankments.
There are many motorboats, jet skis and small boats moving along the Suzhou River.
In the last 10 years, a lot has been done in terms of water purification in the river - the latest technologies are used, emissions and waste are neutralized. This is bearing fruit and at the moment, even in the most densely populated part of Shanghai, the river looks clean and transparent.
