The Shanghai Tower is an ultra-tall building under construction in the Pudong district of Shanghai, China.
Soon there will be one more skyscraper in Shanghai. The new giant will grow in the Pudong area, namely, in the famous financial center of Lutsyazui. Next to the Shanghai Tower, so called by the developers of the project, there are already two high-rises: the Shanghai World Financial Center and Jin Mao, which the Chinese call the Golden Success Building.
According to the project, the height of the building will be 632 meters, the total area is 380,000 square meters.
The developers said that when completed in 2014, the Shanghai Tower will become the most majestic building in China and the third tallest structure in the world, behind the Tokyo Sky Tree (634 meters) and the Burj Khalifa Tower (828 meters) in Dubai.
In 2015, it will lose the first Chinese and third world position to the Pinan International Financial Center under construction in Shenzhen, and after 2016 it will become the 5th in the world, including the India Tower in Mumbai. Shanghai Tower is one of the most notable architectural projects of modern times.
