Nanshi Old Town

Huangpu District, Shanghai, China

Description:

Nanshi Old Town is where modern Shanghai originates.

There are ancient buildings built in the XV century, part of the wall that protects against attacks, and many narrow winding alleys.

This place is colorful and noisy, with old Chinese architecture and stunning Chinese New Year celebrations.

In the center of Nanshi there is an old bazaar and traditional Chinese shops where you can buy antiques and collectibles.

A little further rises the majestic ornate temple City of God with pagodas in several tiers.

There is also a Tea House, also with roofs in the form of a pagoda, standing in the water on stilts - here you will be offered to try dozens of varieties of Chinese tea.
