About the company:

The House Museum of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China is one of the most popular museums in Shanghai. It is a historic site where the First Congress of the Communists of China was held in 1921, the main result of which was the proclamation of the formation of the Communist Party. The first meeting was attended by 13 delegates, including future leader Mao Zedong.

The decision to create the house where the first party congress was held was made in 1952. First of all, the creators of the museum undertook the restoration of the house, during which the original appearance was returned. Initially, the building was built in the traditional Shikumen style for China and had an area of about 900 square meters. A few years later, the museum opened, and in 1961 it gained the status of a national cultural monument.

The Memorial Museum consists of two parts. One of the pavilions invites visitors to look at the true situation of the 20s, in which the First Congress of the Communist Party was held. Every detail in this room has been recreated down to the smallest detail based on the recollections of the participants. In the second, more spacious pavilion, numerous historical documents and other items telling about the history of the party are exhibited. There are hundreds of photographs and 117 artifacts, many of which are national relics. There are also wax figures of participants in those historical events. There is also a lecture hall.
