Piazza Botero is named after the most famous Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Near the square are such popular tourist sites as the Art Museum of Antioquia and the Palace of Culture.
Botero Square is often referred to as the "Sculpture Park". This is because the square has 23 bronze sculptures donated by the artist to the city.
