Library building in Espana Park

Cra 33B #107A-100, Medellin, Colombia

Description:

The library was built in 2007 by the famous Colombian architect Giancarlo Mazzanti.

It consists of three buildings connected at the level of the first floor by rectilinear structures of glass and concrete. In one building there is a community center, in the other - a library, and in the third - an auditorium. The case has an ultra-modern look and resembles black rough diamonds. The buildings are built of dark stone slabs. The windows in the buildings are small and they are grouped horizontally. The library looks very monumental. In addition, it is located on the top of a hill and from its few windows offers a beautiful view of Medellin.
