Museum of Contemporary Art in Medellin
Cra. 44, Carrera 48 #19A-100, Medellí n, Antioquia, Colombia
About the company:
The museum was founded in 1978 by local artists belonging to the so-called Urban Revival Group. In 2009, the museum moved to a new premise – a former mechanical workshop.
The purpose of the museum is to attract different groups of the population to contemporary art.
Like many Medellin museums, the Museum of Modern Art displays many works by Fernando Botero. But this name does not exhaust the entire exhibition. The museum contains samples of modern Colombian art. It often hosts exhibitions, presentations, performances, concerts and other cultural events.
