Minsocheon Village and Waucheons Buddhist Temple

Description:

Minsocheon Village.

The Korean folk village embodies the daily life of Koreans of the late Joseon Dynasty and is very popular not only among Koreans themselves, but also among foreign tourists. The feeling of immersion is enhanced by the full size of the environment and attention to the details of the recreated artifacts. During special days and holidays, various traditional games are held here, and different events occur such as swing riding, top rotation, swing jumping and more.
Waucheons Temple.

Waucheons Buddhist Temple.

It has a special splendor and unearthly landscapes that are difficult to see in other traditional Buddhist temples of Korea. At the entrance to the temple is an 8-meter head of the Buddha, installed on a stone tower. The temple also has a large number of different stone towers collected from stones brought from around the world. In addition, there you can see about three thousand different figures of Buddha from Myanmar, India, China, the Philippines, etc. But this place is especially popular due to the wooden statue of the reclining Buddha, which reaches 3 meters in height and 12 meters in length. Thanks to this, a wooden statue of Buddha entered the Guinness Book of Records.

Or Kwangmyong Cave.

Gwangmyeong Cave is a complex of old underground workings, the walls of which remember the hard work of the explorers who mined gold ore underground. The abandoned mines began their new history in 2011, when it was decided to open underground corridors to create objects of cultural creativity in them. In the cave of Kwangmyong were created such amazing objects as Aquavold, Hall for performances, Golden waterfall, Golden path, Golden Palace, wine cellar and other interesting places, visiting which you will get a lot of pleasant impressions.
