The Great Riga Centre, sometimes called the “Imperial Centre”, was formed from the 2nd half of the 19th century until the beginning of the 1st World War. Riga in those years was developing very rapidly, and for a little more than 50 years its population grew 10 times!!!
The rapid development of Riga in the late 19th and early 20th centuries led to the fact that the city formed (and preserved) the largest heritage in the world of architecture with elements of Art Nouveau (jugend style).
I will tell you the history of the city, show iconic places, the most beautiful buildings, we will be able to go to the doorways and interesting courtyards, and most importantly, you will get acquainted with the era of modernity, elements, stylistic trends and learn a lot of interesting information about that era!
During the tour, I will gladly answer your questions and give recommendations for walking and visiting interesting places in the city.
