A walk in Riga is a kind of time travel, where from the 13th century you can get immediately to the 18th or even 21st century.

Whichever corner of Old Riga you would not remove - it will be an old postcard.

Just imagine: on the streets, which streams flock to the Town Hall Square, there are creaking wheels, roaring horses, mooing cows, cries of merchants. Important merchants lay out their goods, and artisans immediately make their masterpieces. And in the Town Hall sits the richest burghers - the magistrate, they make laws and decide the court. On the pediment of the Town Hall is the blind Themis.
