"Mitava" pedestrian bridge in Jelgava

The first place in the competition “The best structure in Latvia in 2012” in the nomination “engineering structure” won the pedestrian Mitavsky Bridge. The cable-stayed pedestrian bridge is a technically complex construction. Its length is 152 meters, and together with the concrete extension towards the city center - 199.6 meters. The width of the bridge is 3.5 meters. The bridge is supported by 28 cables, fortified on two pylons 22 and 24 meters high. The bridge itself consists of 3,850 steel elements.
