Lithuanian Aviation Museum in Kaunas

The Lithuanian Aviation Museum was founded by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture in 1990. By 2009, there were 19 thousand exhibits in the collection, of which more than 40 aircraft. The history of aviation development is revealed to the visitor in many samples: the shape of pilots, aviation signs of different countries, cards, personal belongings of famous pilots.

The museum is located on the territory of the airfield, which is now not operating. The museum closely cooperates with the Lithuanian Air Force, the Lithuanian Aviation Veterans Association, the Lithuanian Air Club, and aviation institutes. Since 1991, even has its own edition, which often publishes the memoirs of pilots, moments of history. In the museum you can not only see exhibits, but also films. You can test yourself as a pilot, sitting in the cockpit of a plane or helicopter, on a special simulator "Flight Simulator".
