Climbing Mount Kinabalu
Description:
An unforgettable excursion: Borneo from a bird's flight (4100). The overall route is 8.72 kilometers along wooden steps and stone paths, and the peak itself is granite rock. Throughout the route, there are resting places and toilets, and mountain squirrels will make you company while you relax.
Ascension requires no special skills, only willpower.
Meet the sunrise at the peak, enjoy the diversity of plants, of which Kinabalu Park has more than 5,000 species (more than Europe and North America combined). By the way, many plants endemic to the park.
Tour programme:
Day 1
0600 - Departure from the hotel
0745 - Registration at the main park office
0815 - The beginning of the ascent from the gate of Timpohon (1866 m)
1500 - Approximate arrival at the base Laban Rata (3273m)
Lunch, rest, dinner.
Day 2
0200 - Rise and Breakfast
0230 - Meeting with a guide and climbing to the peak
0530 - Approximate time at peak, meeting of dawn (4100 m)
0600 - Descent to base
0900 - Breakfast and discharge from the base
1400 - Approximate time of descent, departure from the park to the hotel
