Adventures of Irina and Inga in the real village of Dusun
Description:
Interesting excursion: visit the village of the largest ethnic group Sabah. The village is located in a picturesque mountainous place on the banks of the river, 35 minutes drive from the town of Kota Kinabalu, but it feels like we are in another century, somewhere very far from civilization. You can get to the village only by crossing the river, by a suspension bridge. We were greeted by friendly villagers, showed their houses, vegetable garden, fruit trees and rubber mining. Then, a 15-minute walk through the woods to the waterfall where we refreshed ourselves. The forest trail introduced us to local plants and their applications. We even saw such a rare carnivorous plant - a jar. After a walk, we bathed in the river and fed from the hands of fish, which were not afraid of us at all. Lunch cooked at the stake, which could be better! During lunch, we were entertained with ethnic dances. After lunch, we ate the local fruit they had grown in the village.
