Kuala Lumpur Bird Park

920 Jalan Cenderawasih, KL Bird Park, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Description:

The bird park in Kuala Lumpur was founded in 1991 in the Lake Gardens area and is the world's largest outdoor airfield. It covers an area of more than 8 hectares, which is home to more than 2,000 birds. The uniqueness of the park is that the birds do not live in cramped cages and enclosures, but live in “free flight”. The park throughout the territory is covered with a grid, which is fixed on pillars. The park is successful, because many birds here reproduce naturally: they build nests and hatch chicks.

The park is divided into 4 zones in which flamingos and pelicans, kites, rhinoceros birds, mines, birds of prey, parrots, oriental birds, Malay storks-beaks and others live. The park has an amphitheater for 350 spectators, where daily free performances with the participation of birds are held for visitors.

Also on the territory of the park in the training center you can learn about the life and habits of birds, in the incubator you can look at the breeding of birds, on the children's playground you can take pictures with birds, buy souvenirs, eat in restaurants and cafes.
