Oceanarium

Concourse Level, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, 50088 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Description:

The Kuala Lumpur Oceanarium is a small piece of ocean right in the center of the city, near the Twin Towers.

At the beginning of the exhibition there are several small pools, which are inhabited by crabs, starfish and other animals that can be touched with your hands and even held without being pulled out of the water.

Other aquariums are inhabited by marine, freshwater, reptiles, and even spiders and scorpions. The most remarkable is a large aquarium, under which you can climb and be inside it, getting into the convex domed bottom. In this aquarium live nimble otters, which, swimming to the dome, tumble in the water directly above the visitor. This is such a stunning sight that many spectators linger near this aquarium for a long time. Opposite the aquarium hangs a large poster, urging to protect these wonderful animals and not to buy products from their fur and not pollute the reservoirs in which they live.
