Danum Valley – Princess Diana’s Dream
Description:
The most beautiful place in Borneo, home to the oldest forest in the world, and home to many animals and birds. You need to go to the valley for at least 2 days. And you can get to the cozy hotel by forest road by jeep or helicopter. Suspension bridges, waterfalls, caves, mountains – this is a real adventure! Dunum Valley was recently visited by Prince Williams with his wife, in honor of his mother.
Day 1:
(lunch and dinner included)
At 07:55 m – meeting at Lahad-Datu airport (MH3010 flight is recommended in the airport).
7:00 from Kota Kinabalu Then check-in and a brief briefing in the office of the travel company.
9:30 – go to the Danum Valley (2h 30 min on a dirt road) 12:00 – check-in to the lodge. After arrival at the hotel you can relax. Lunch.
14:30 – a short presentation in the conference room. 15:00 – day track you will get acquainted with the forest, going on a hike along forest trails and on a suspension bridge at an altitude of 26 m from the ground. You can see the wildlife of the Sabah lowlands. Here are rare Sumatra rhinos, orangutans and boars.
19:00 dinner. After dinner, you will be shown a presentation.
20:00 if weather permits, we will go on a night trip in an open jeep in search of nocturnal animals. Night at the Borneo Reinforest Lodge (chalet deluxe)
Day 2:
Danum Valley (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included)
7:00 breakfast.
9:00 – morning trek through the jungle to the burial place of the Kadazan-dusun tribe – “Coffin Hill”. Further, the path lies to the observation deck, from where a breathtaking view from a bird's eye view opens. Then we go to the refreshing mountain pond “Jacuzzi Pool”.
12:30 Lunch at the hotel. Rest.
15:00 – trekking through the jungle of delightful beauty or to the river.
19:00 - Dinner and free time.
20:30 – Night walk in search of animals Night at the hotel Borneo Reinforest Lodge (chalet deluxe)
Day 3:
Danum Valley / Lahad Datu (Breakfast, Lunch) 7:00 - Breakfast, free time.
12:00 - lunch. Free time before leaving for Lahad Data.
13:30 – extract from the lodge and departure to Lahad-Datu airport (recommended flight MH3023 at 17:25 Kota Kinabalu)
