Day 1
TabinRano Reserve in the morning flight from Kota Kinabalu to Lahad Datu. Flight MH3010b at 06:10. Arrival at Lahad Date at 07:05.
07:05 Meeting with a guide from the reserve and transfer to the Tabin Wildlife Reserve. The path passes along a road paved with gravel. Travel time is 1 hour.
Arrive at the reserve. Check-in at the Tabin Wildlife Resort Lodge. Accommodation in a room (bungalow) with a balcony, air conditioning and a hot shower. Free time, acquaintance with the territory of the complex.
Tabin Wildlife Resort is located on the banks of the Lipad River surrounded by rainforest. Thanks to this location from the lodge you can safely observe birds, insects and even small mammals.
In the afternoon, visit the mud geyser near the Lipad River, which serves as a source of mineral nutrients for representatives of the local flora and fauna. Trekking for 20 minutes. Arrival to the uncovered, bare top of the geyser, frequent visitors of which are deer, bearded pigs, elephants and birds, as evidenced by their footprints left on the ground. It is known that mud of volcanic origin has healing properties and has a beneficial effect on the color and condition of the skin of the face. We offer you to go to the observation point at the top of the geyser, where contrasting landscapes of bare, unseeded volcanic terrain mixed with dense jungles approaching it open. Here a large number of representatives of birds are found.
After dinner, you will be presented with a Slud Show dedicated to the features of the Tabin Reserve, after which you will go on an evening safari in the jungle in search of nocturnal animals and birds. Overnight at Tabin Wildlife Resort.
Day 2
In the morning before breakfast, if you wish, you can join a walk to observe the birds, of which about 300 species are officially registered in the reserve. Breakfast. Trekking through the jungle to Lipad’s Waterfall. You can refresh yourself by jumping into a natural body of water and swimming. Alternatively, you will be offered a walk through the jungle and familiarity with the local vegetation. Dinner. Going on an evening safari in search of nocturnal animals (under favorable weather conditions). Overnight at Tabin Wildlife Resort.
Day 3
Tabin Reserve 07:00 Breakfast.
07:45 Go on a jungle tour to the nearest pond or river bank where macaques and other small mammals often gather. Swim in a pond or just sit on the shore listening to the sounds of the jungle.
13:00 in the afternoon left for Lahad Datub airport. Flight to Kota Kinabalu MH3023, departure time 17:30. Arrival at Kota Kinabalu at 18:25.
