Dades Canyon

Morocco, Dades Gorge

Description:

On the edges of the gorges of the majestic Dades canyon there are picturesque paths at an altitude of almost three kilometers. This place is loved by tourists who like to travel by bicycle or car and discover something new for themselves.

At the bottom of the canyon gorge there is a river with the same name Dades. There is a strong wind in the canyon. Lions once lived in the area of the gorge, but the last of them was killed in 1905. Through this gorge you can reach the Berber villages of the High Atlas, such as Agudal and Imilchil. In these villages in September, the wedding festival “Moussem des Fiances” is held, which gathers young women and men from all over the region in the hope of finding a mate.
