Uzud Falls

Chemin des cascades, Ouzoud Falls 22000, Morocco

Description:

Uzud Falls is located in the High Atlas Mountains. Uzud falls in three cascades from a height of 110 meters. It is one of the highest waterfalls in the world and its beauty attracts thousands of tourists every year. Among the many waterfalls, Uzur is distinguished by the ability to approach the flow of water from top to bottom, which is a truly unforgettable sight.

The name "Uzur" is translated from Berber as "olive trees". It is these trees that dot the slopes of the waterfall along and across. At the very top there are still several water mills, as well as a couple of small olive oil enterprises.

Tourists who have traveled a considerable distance to Uzur, at sunset, an unusual sight awaits - many monkeys go to the waterfall for a watering hole.
