Ali Ben Yusuf Mosque

46 Patrice Lumumba Appt 8, Rabat 10010, Morocco

Description:

The minaret of the Ali Ben Yusuf Mosque can be seen from anywhere in Manaresh. All quarters of the city were built around this priceless monument of Arab architecture. The mosque was originally built in the 11th century by the Almohads, but was completely destroyed a century later by the Almoravids. Then they rebuilt it again.

The mosque is named after Saint Ali Ben Yusuf. In the Muslim world, Ali Ben Yusuf is revered as the patron saint of the stronghold. Despite the terrible disease of leprosy, Ali Ben Yusuf led the life of a hardened righteous man and encouraged people to confess the true faith by his example.

The mosque measures 120 by 80 meters. Only Muslims are allowed to enter the mosque.
