Laguna de Coyuca

Carretera Pie de la Cuesta, Pie de la Cuesta, Mexico | Frente al restaurante Tres Maras

Description:

Lagoon de Coyuca is a beautiful freshwater lake located ten kilometers north of Acapulco.

The lake is about seventeen miles long and eight wide. The average depth of the lake is seven meters. There are a large number of fish - such as carp, mullet, catfish, bream, as well as shrimp and crabs.

On the lake you can take a boat tour, enjoying the beautiful panorama of the Sierra Madre, or walk along the shores through mangroves and tropical jungles. Part of the coast is occupied by birds, which form a real reserve here. Black and white herons, pelicans, ducks, storks, gulls and many others chose this beautiful corner along with other representatives of the animal world.

Several films were shot in the lagoon, due to the magnificent natural scenery and the combination of the water surface with the dark jungle.
