Museum of Naval History
Calle Mateo Mauri 19 (Costa Azul), Acapulco, Mexico
About the company:
Since its inception, Acapulco has been closely connected to the ocean. From here in the Middle Ages began the trade route to the Far East, here in our time come a variety of cruise and merchant ships. For several centuries of existence of the city formed a decent history associated with the sea and navy. It is reflected in the exposition of this museum.
The Maritime Museum contains many documents, images and things that illustrate certain historical events. But most often there are two particularly interesting local objects. First of all, it is a library that combines a lot of really remarkable books, documents and drawings on marine topics. Another, no less interesting place is a kind of boat workshop, where several samples (built in miniature) of famous boats are collected, without which it is impossible to imagine the maritime history of Acapulco.
The museum is located in a shopping center, so it is easily accessible. He has a small souvenir shop.
