Basaseachi Falls
Located in the Cascada de Basaseachi National Park, 140 kilometers from the city of Creela
Description:
Basaseachi Falls is the second highest waterfall in Mexico at 246 meters. This natural monument is located on the territory of the national park of the same name in the province of Chihuahua. The huge area around the waterfall, which is part of the reserve, is protected by the state. These are untouched pine forests and harsh rocks.
Basaseachi is formed from two streams that connect at the peak of the mountain, and then break into a ravine, into the seething Kandamena River, which in turn flows into one of the main rivers of Mexico - the Mayo.
On the territory adjacent to the waterfall you can see many wild animals. For example, white-tailed deer, boar, cougar, raccoon-striped, spotted skunk, gray and red squirrels, antelope hare, as well as various reptiles.
