Cola de Caballo Falls

The Cola de Caballo Falls is an impressive waterfall with a huge swimming pool. It is located about 40 kilometers south of Monterey. It's 25 meters high. The waterfall got its name because of the unusual shape of the water flow in the form of a tail. Below the waterfall forms a large swimming pool with mirror-clear water. A little further from this place there are several other waterfalls. The Cola de Caballo Falls can be reached on foot or rent a horse for a ride.

The waterfall is surrounded by lush vegetation and stairs that allow you to view it from different sides. On the road leading to it, local traders offer wicker products and various accessories. The area of the waterfall is patrolled by local residents, who in turn are responsible for order.
