The Church of St. Peter is one of the oldest churches in Guadalajara.
This beautiful church, built in the Byzantine style, belongs to the Franciscan order. Its construction began in 1670 and was completed only in 1813. The temple is the main shrine of the municipality and was named after St. Peter in 1845.
Externally, it is a Roman basilica. Inside, on one of the altars, you can see the icon with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe, on the other - the icon of St. Peter by Cristobal de Villalpando.
