Sculpture of the coat of arms of the city

Plaza Tapatí a, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

Description:

The sculpture of the coat of arms of the city is the main symbol of the city of Guadalajara.

It is a low-enclosed bronze statue depicting two victorious lions, belligerently resting powerful lamas in the trunk of an oak tree. This symbol is depicted on the coat of arms of the city.

Next to them are two six-meter steles, on which is fixed a plate with the order of King Charles - the first king of Spain and the fifth king of Germany. The order states that Guadalajara in 1539 was granted the status of a city and its coat of arms.
