Description:
The Nuevo Progreso bullfighting stadium was built in 1967 by architect Leopoldo Torres Aguirre. It opened 12 years later on October 20, 1979.
At the time of its opening, the stadium had a height of twenty-five meters and was designed for sixteen and a half thousand spectators.
Today its capacity is twenty thousand people.
The Nuevo Progreso bullfighting stadium is considered the best stadium in Jalisco.
Fans of bullfighting should take into account that bullfighting is usually held in October-November and February-March, although there are exceptions. But at other times, the stadium is not empty – concerts and other events are held on its arena.
