Church of Iglesia Cristo Rey

Iglesia Cristo Rey is the first Roman Catholic church to open in Cancun.

It is located next to the legendary Palapas Park and is one of the most important historical and religious monuments of the city. For many, the facade of the church may seem atypical for buildings of this type.

The church is a white, low-rise building resembling a summer cafe. Its gable low roof is crowned by a hollow white cross. In the altar you can see a wooden carved cross. Masses here are read twice a day in Spanish and English.
