Playa Chac Mool Beach

Playa Chac Mool Beach is one of Cancun’s most visited beaches.

It is named after Mesoamerican stone statues found throughout the Yucatan and Central Mexico. The mysterious figure of Chuck mule was always depicted lying down with a bowl on his stomach. Its significance remains unknown to this day.

It is a large beach with white sand and turquoise waters. Often there are quite strong waves, so the place is popular among surf lovers. Swimming here is not safe, so in a strong wind it is better to limit yourself to sunbathing.
