Playa Tortugas Beach

Playa Tortugas, or Turtle Beach in Spanish, is the most popular beach on the northern coast of Cancun. Playa Tortugas is protected from storms by Isla Mujeres Island, making swimming in these waters calm and safe.

The sea in the area of Playa Tortugas is much deeper than on the other northern beaches, thanks to which the water has a beautiful rich blue-turquoise color. Its temperature in the bathing season is about + 25-27 degrees.

Playa Tortugas is located in close proximity to the hotel area and the city center, as well as large shopping complexes. On the territory of the beach there is an indoor market, a bungee jumping tower, bars, cafes, music almost never stops here, almost always crowded, so Playa Tortugas is ideal for an active beach holiday.

For lovers of water sports, Playa Tortugas has a boat station, water ski rental points, there is also a pier, from which excursion ferries depart on Isla Mujeres, where you can visit local attractions, dolphinarium, El Garrafon National Park and diving.
