Description:
Cozumel International Airport is located on the same Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea.
Despite the fact that the population of the island barely reaches 100 thousand people, the annual passenger turnover of the airport is equal to 400,000 passengers. This is facilitated by the resort status of the island and the presence of a huge coral reef with a length of 700 kilometers.
After global restoration work in 2003, Cozumel Airport commissioned 6 new landing gates. Terminals were also upgraded and waiting rooms were renovated.
