Calle Benito Jurez s/n esq. Lerdo de Tejada Centro, Toluca, Mexico

Description:

The Cosmovitral Botanical Garden features over 500 plant species from around the world. In the center of the garden is a bust of the Japanese scientist Eizi Matuda, who is known for his research of flora. More than 600 species of plants were classified by him, most of which are currently represented in the botanical garden.

Also in the garden is the Friendship Monument, which was donated to the state in 1980. Quite often, the garden hosts art exhibitions and other events such as seminars on bonsai plants and many others. The garden is famous for its beautiful landscapes and a variety of plants. This place is visited by more than 500-600 people a day, and on Christmas holidays their number doubles. About 60% of visitors are locals and only 5% are foreigners.
