Xochimilco Ecological Park belongs to UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The park was founded in 1991, located 3 kilometers from the city of Hochimilko and covers an area of 160 hectares. Of these, the area of 2 thousand square kilometers is strictly protected, as there is a botanical garden and artificial lakes. Many species of amphibians are threatened with extinction. The lakes have become home to many species of birds.
