Cumbres del Ajusco National Park is one of the most famous and beautiful parks in Mexico City.
The park is located in a mountainous area, the highest point is at an altitude of 3900 meters above sea level and is visible from anywhere in the city.
The park is famous for pine and oak forests and high mountain meadows, as well as many flowers. All this splendor grows thanks to heavy rainfall. Each height is characterized by its vegetation and fauna.
The Balsas and Lerma rivers originate here. There are many underground rivers, which are sources of fresh water. The mountains are mostly of volcanic origin.
