Description:
San Jacinto Square was originally called the "Alligator Square" due to the seven reptiles that were located in the pond in the middle of the square. Now alligators were transported to the zoo, as there were many victims, and a fountain was built on this site.
Every Saturday, the S Bado Bazaar opens on the square, where you can buy paintings, sculptures and many other products of decorative and applied art of local residents.
On one of the buildings in the square is a memorial plaque to the Irish soldiers of St. Patrick’s Battalion, who were hanged by the Americans for assisting the Mexican army in resisting the invasion of the US Armed Forces. Also here is the church of San Jacinto, built in the XVI century.
