About the company:
The Xochimilco Archaeological Museum offers visitors a glimpse into Mexico City’s historical past, namely to see ancient art objects of immense cultural and historical value.
The museum contains an extensive collection of stone products: pots, busts of gods, objects with geometric figures, with images of salamanders, lizards, fish, rabbits, snakes, etc. The museum displays the remains of prehistoric animals that were found as a result of deep drainage work. There are also sculptures of soldiers in the museum.
The museum is located in a building surrounded by gardens, built in 1974. The museum opened in the reconstructed building on November 21, 1985. Initially, the museum’s collection consisted of 2,500 items, and now it is constantly growing.
