Frida Kahlo House Museum
Museo Frida Kahlo, Londres 247, Del Carmen, Coyoac & aacute n. 04000
About the company:
The house-museum of Frida Kahlo due to the color of the walls is called blue or azure. The famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo lived in this house from her birth in 1907 until her death in 1954.
This house remained exactly as Frida Kahlo, her husband Diego Rivera and their many friends knew it. Until now, the walls in this house are painted with a variety of colors, everywhere you can stumble upon ceramic ornaments, portraits of the leaders of the world proletariat and many other things that, in the opinion of most people, cannot be near, but nevertheless it is thanks to this creative disorder that the wonderful atmosphere of this house is formed.
It also houses a unique collection of pre-Columbian statues and paintings by the artist, mostly self-portraits because she spent most of her life in bed. And, according to some tourists, in this house you can stumble upon a lot of very strange things, such as an amulet (a jar of embryos), which should scare away any uninvited guests.
